Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup Buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 jar Dill pickles sliced
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Dip each pickle slice into the buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture, coating well.
  4. Carefully place the coated pickles into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Remove the fried pickles with tongs and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
