Main Ingredients
- 4 cups fresh cherries, pitted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the cherries and ½ cup of sugar. Set aside.
In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and remaining sugar.
Stir in the milk and melted butter until just combined.
Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
Spoon the cherry mixture evenly over the batter.
Bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
