Feijoada Brazilian Black Bean Stew Recipe
A hearty and traditional Brazilian black bean stew.

Main Ingredients
- 2 cups black beans dried
- 1 lb pork shoulder cut into chunks
- 1 lb smoked sausage sliced
- 1 onion chopped
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
1. Soak the black beans in water overnight.
2. In a large pot, cook the pork shoulder until browned.
3. Add the smoked sausage and cook for another 5 minutes.
4. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cook until softened.
5. Drain the soaked beans and add them to the pot.
6. Pour in the beef broth and water, then add the bay leaves, salt, and pepper.
7. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours, or until beans are tender.
8. Remove bay leaves before serving.
