Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a saucepan, whisk together eggs and sugar until well combined.
  2. 2. Add milk and heavy cream, and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
  3. 3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, nutmeg, and cinnamon.
  4. 4. Let cool, then refrigerate until chilled. Serve with a sprinkle of nutmeg on top.
