  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about ½ inch thickness. Cut with a doughnut cutter.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry doughnuts until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
  5. Drain on paper towels and let cool slightly before serving.
