Banana Bread
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ripe bananas, mashed
Cream Cheese Filling
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, mix the melted butter and sugar. Add the eggs and vanilla, then the mashed bananas. Combine with the dry ingredients.
For the cream cheese filling, beat the cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
Pour half of the banana batter into the loaf pan. Spread the cream cheese filling on top, then add the remaining banana batter.
Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool before slicing.
