Ingredients

  • 1 lb Crabmeat fresh or canned
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 small Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • to taste Salt and Pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until translucent.
  2. 2. Add the crabmeat to the pot and cook for a few minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. 3. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 10 minutes.
  4. 4. Use a blender to puree the mixture until smooth. Return the mixture to the pot.
  5. 5. Stir in the heavy cream and paprika. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. 6. Serve hot, garnished with a sprinkle of paprika or fresh herbs if desired.
