- 2 cups sliced squash
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, salt, and pepper.
2. Dip squash slices in buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture.
3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
4. Fry squash slices until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
5. Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
