Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Cornmeal
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 Eggs beaten
  • ¼ cup Butter melted
  • 6 Hot dogs cut into 1-inch pieces

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, beaten eggs, and melted butter.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Fill each muffin cup about ⅔ full with the batter. Place a piece of hot dog into the center of each muffin cup.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the muffin comes out clean.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
