Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1 cup clams chopped, drained
  • ¼ cup onion finely chopped
  • ¼ cup bell pepper finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon parsley chopped
  • 1 cup vegetable oil for frying

Instructions 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. In another bowl, mix milk and beaten egg. Add to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  3. Fold in clams, onion, bell pepper, and parsley.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, flattening slightly with a spatula. Fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
