  • 6 Eggs
  • 4 cups Water
  • 2 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Black Tea Leaves
  • 1 stick Cinnamon
  • 1 piece Star Anise
  • 1 piece Orange Peel

Instructions 

  1. 1. Boil the eggs for 10 minutes. Remove and cool under cold water.
  2. 2. Gently crack the eggshells with the back of a spoon, but keep the shells on.
  3. 3. In a pot, combine water, soy sauce, tea leaves, cinnamon, star anise, and orange peel. Bring to a boil.
  4. 4. Add the eggs to the pot and simmer for 1 hour. Let the eggs steep in the liquid for several hours or overnight for a stronger flavor.
