Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts boneless, skinless
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • ¼ cup fresh basil chopped
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Dredge in flour, dip in beaten eggs, and coat with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan cheese.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until golden brown on both sides.
  4. Place chicken in a baking dish, top with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish with fresh basil and serve.
