Chicken and Broth
- 1 whole Chicken cut into pieces
- 6 cups Chicken Broth
- 1 cup Carrots sliced
- 1 cup Celery sliced
- 1 cup Onion chopped
- 2 tablespoon Butter
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
Dumplings
- 2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 tablespoon Butter melted
1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add chicken pieces and cook until browned.
2. Add carrots, celery, and onion to the pot. Cook until vegetables are tender.
3. Pour in chicken broth, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
4. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt for the dumplings.
5. Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined.
6. Drop spoonfuls of dumpling batter into the simmering pot. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
7. Serve hot and enjoy!
