Ingredients

  • 4 cups Broccoli florets
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Steam the broccoli florets until tender, about 5 minutes.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk, cooking until the mixture thickens. Stir in the salt and pepper.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in 1.5 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese until melted.
  6. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked broccoli and cheese sauce. Transfer to a baking dish.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining 0.5 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown.
