- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar sifted
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
1. In a large bowl, beat the butter until creamy.
2. Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed.
3. Add the vanilla extract and cream, and beat on high speed until light and fluffy.
4. If the icing is too thick, add a little more cream. If it's too thin, add more powdered sugar.
