- 4 lb corned beef brisket
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon thyme
1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
2. In a Dutch oven, place the corned beef brisket, fat side up.
3. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic around the brisket.
4. Pour in the beef broth and water.
5. Sprinkle the brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, black pepper, and thyme over the brisket.
6. Cover the Dutch oven and place it in the preheated oven.
7. Braise for about 4 hours, or until the brisket is tender.
8. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
