- 1 can black beans drained and rinsed
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- ¼ cup onion finely chopped
- 1 egg beaten
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 clove garlic minced
- ½ cup corn optional
- 1 tablespoon olive oil for cooking
1. In a food processor, pulse the black beans until they are mostly smooth.
2. In a bowl, combine the beans, bread crumbs, onion, egg, chili powder, cumin, garlic, and corn (if using).
3. Form the mixture into 4 patties.
4. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5 minutes on each side, until they are browned and cooked through.
