Main Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup beer cold
- 4 fillets white fish such as cod or haddock
- as needed vegetable oil for frying
Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth.
Dip fish fillets into the batter, allowing excess to drip off.
Carefully place the battered fish into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
Remove fish from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot.
