Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  • 2 units eggs
  • 1 cup bananas mashed
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and bananas.
  3. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; stir into the banana mixture until just combined. Fold in the sour cream.
  4. Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Bake for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
  5. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
