Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups Milk
  • ¾ cup Sugar
  • cup All-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 3 Egg yolks, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 4 Bananas, sliced
  • 1 box Vanilla wafers

Instructions 

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, flour, and salt. Gradually whisk in milk.
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and boils. Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat.
  3. Stir a small amount of the hot mixture into the beaten egg yolks, then return to the saucepan and cook for 2 more minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.
  5. Layer sliced bananas and vanilla wafers in a serving dish. Pour pudding over the layers.
  6. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
