Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated cheese (cheddar, gruyere, or your choice)
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives optional, for garnish

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease the ramekins with butter or oil.
  3. Crack 2 eggs into each ramekin.
  4. Pour 2 tablespoons of heavy cream over the eggs in each ramekin.
  5. Sprinkle grated cheese evenly over the eggs.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the egg whites are set but the yolks are still slightly runny.
  8. Garnish with chopped chives if desired. Serve immediately.
