  • 4 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 packet Active dry yeast
  • 1.5 cups Warm water

Instructions 

  1. 1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. 2. Gradually add the warm water and mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4. Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. 6. Divide the dough into 8 pieces, shape each piece into a ball, and poke a hole in the center to form a bagel shape.
  7. 7. Boil each bagel for 1 minute on each side, then place on a baking sheet.
  8. 8. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
