Ingredients 

Turnover Ingredients

  • 2 cups Apples, peeled and diced
  • ¼ cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 package Puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 unit Egg, beaten for egg wash

Instructions 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  3. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface and cut into squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of apple mixture in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  7. Place turnovers on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
