Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 sheet Puff pastry thawed if frozen
  • 3 Apples peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Butter cut into small pieces
  • 1 Egg beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss to coat the apples evenly.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about ⅛-inch thickness. Transfer the pastry to the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Arrange the apple slices in the center of the pastry, leaving a 2-inch border around the edges. Dot the apples with small pieces of butter.
  5. Fold the edges of the pastry over the apples, pleating as you go to create a rustic look. Brush the edges with the beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender. Let cool slightly before serving.
