Instructions
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss to coat the apples evenly.
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to about ⅛-inch thickness. Transfer the pastry to the prepared baking sheet.
Arrange the apple slices in the center of the pastry, leaving a 2-inch border around the edges. Dot the apples with small pieces of butter.
Fold the edges of the pastry over the apples, pleating as you go to create a rustic look. Brush the edges with the beaten egg.
Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender. Let cool slightly before serving.
